About MCtoC

McKinney Citizen to Citizen advocates for McKinney city government transparency and a citizen-centric McKinney city government.

We want ALL citizens to be able to participate in shaping this city, not just well-positioned insiders.

McKinney’s city government website should make information easily accessible so citizens can make informed, intelligent decisions. It shouldn’t matter if we have lived in McKinney for 20 years or if we just moved here recently—access to timelines and public input-related information should be easy to find.

Our group has been instrumental in bringing the Notify Me system to McKinney. Citizens can now join a list and receive emails from the city on important issues. We helped get the McKinney Housing Authority tied to the city of McKinney website. We also were instrumental in getting the city of McKinney to hold public hearings on all Low-Income Housing Tax Credit applications from now on.

There is more work to do.

  3. How much of our tax money are MCDC/MEDC required to return to ? the McKinney general fund ? That is, after we fund this wonderful airport, how much of its income will find its way back through the above scams?

  4. Has anyone ever read my diatribe on "Nextdoor" vis-a-vis McKinney National Airport/North Texas Regional Airport, the former Perrin Air Force Base in Denison, TX 30 miles North of us between Preston Rd. and Hwy 75. It was deactivated in 1971 when it became North Texas Regional Airport. Covers 1,410 acres with another 200 ac. available, 3 Runways, (1) being 9,000' x 150' wide concrete/asphalt (2) 4,008' x 100' wide concrete/asphalt (3) 2,277' x 60' asphalt. Has a Category I instrument landing system in place for freight or commercial service. Also a new 10,700 sq. ft. Terminal. Since it will handle Air Force jets, I feel very certain it would accommodate everything George has planned for us. AND IT'S ALREADY THERE

  5. Here is a good one you should let the citizens know about. Jeremiah Hammer, the Republican Party Precinct Chairman of Collin County saying, The only reason GerĂ© was hired was because they needed an obedient black to parade around…….. and then that, The only purpose of women in the military is to provide sexual relief to the actual soldiers.

Then he tries to spin it on Nextdoor, because people called him out on it, including the Mayor, that somehow it is their fault.

This guy needs to be removed from his position. You can do that at the Collin County Republicans web site.

Let’s see how much your “transparency”, “citizen education” and “citizen involvement” actually goes?
