McKinney v. Arch Resorts

Here is the final settlement (to which I'll be eventually adding the entire history). We need to always have this and other examples to look back on when we think other people know better, so we don't have to get involved:

McKinney paid to Arch Resorts $1.850,000 (to not build an RV hotel and for 3 easements)
McKinney's legal fees and costs     $310,976 (as of October only)

The total cost of this comes out of our General Fund. This money would have been better spent by us, keeping it ourselves through lower taxes, OR by the City putting it back into our community where it is needed most.

Remember, the city lost on Custer Storage too. Instead of settling, they're appealing. Custer Storage legal fees and costs have been over $100k (this does not include the eventual settlement the city should provide the owners of Custer Storage when the appeal fails).
