Top Property Taxpayers for 2017

Here is the list of the city of McKinney's top property tax payers for 2017. Only five are businesses that contribute more in property tax revenue than they take in city services. All the rest are apartments which use way more city services than businesses do. In addition to increasing the residential population, apartments require more school district services than commercial. As this list shows, the majority of our top tax payers are also adding more to our collective residential burden.

According to the fiscal section of the working 2040 Comprehensive Plan, employees have 1/3 of the impact of residents on costly city services.
